When Lambs Are Silent is a movement committed to the belief that just because the world is the way it is, does not mean it must remain that way.

We are dedicated to the idea that change is possible, and are champions of the belief that as human’s we encounter each other through our stories and that in order to challenge the dominate narratives of our culture, that we need to do more than just hear the stories of our brothers and sisters, we need to listen.

#ToListenIsToLove, for it is in our stories that we fully encounter one another.

At When Lambs Are Silent we want to create space to have difficult conversations, about difficult stuff, without resorting to dehumanizing or otherizing those on the other side of the political fence than we might stand.

When Lambs Are Silent

There are a lot of voices in our society, within both established and social media, a cacophony that hits us from every angle, pulling our emotions, thoughts and opinions this way and that.

People speaking for and against ideas, issues, perspectives and … people. Some of these voices are very loud.

But what about the voices that aren’t so loud. What about the ones that no one is sharing because no one is seeing, that no one discusses because no one hears? What about their stories?

In this segment we endeavor to create a space for those voices to tell their stories. To amplify the voices of those our society has traditionally ignored, and at others times systematically sought to suppress. We seek to create space for various voices to be heard, and an environment where Lambs need not be silent.

This is not about agreeing with one another, and at times the stories here will be challenging, confronting, and even, painful to hear, but we believe that as we listen to one another, we can learn to love each other. And Love, well Love is the beginning of Revolution.
